About Us...
ODC is a private, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization with facilities in Wisconsin Rapids and Marshfield, Wisconsin.  We are proud of our 47 years of serving people - from 25 individuals in 1965 to 569 individuals in 2012.  During that time, ODC's mission - to empower people with disabilities to achieve their work and life goals - has remained unchanged.
In 2012, 331 individuals gained 135,000 hours of work experience within ODC's Facility-Based Employment Training programs.  Jobs in packaging and assembly, mailings and fulfillment, wood working, electronics recycling and vinyl manufacturing were provided by contracts with local, regional and national companies.  We develop work opportunities by building strong partnerships with our business customers, and by meeting and exceeding the quality requirements of those customers.
Within ODC's Community Employment programs, 237 work experiences and jobs were obtained or maintained in 2012.  ODC partnered with 126 Central Wisconsin area employers who provided these work opportunities within their organizations.  Our job coaches and employment staff provide assessment, job placement and support for both the employer and the employee to ensure mutual success.
ODC's BlendedVoc Day Services program provided a wide variety of skills training and life-enhancing activities including art, cooking, computer training, money management, volunteering, community outings and current events classes to 107 individuals in 2012.  Many individuals that participated in Day Services also worked in our facility-based or community employment programs.

ODC is a member of Rehabilitation for Wisconsin (RFW) and the Association for Persons in Supported Employment (APSE).  We are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), which signals our commitment to continually improving services, encouraging feedback and serving the community.
